Credit union lending professionals looking for ideas on how to grow their credit union’s lending portfolio will want to take advantage of the myriad of educational sessions available at the Texas Credit Union League’s (TCUL) upcoming Texas Governmental Affairs Conference and Member Meeting & Expo.
During this April 2-5 conference, credit union lending professionals will have the option of attending any number of the 31 educational breakout sessions led by dynamic executive speakers and trainers from across the nation. Credit union lenders may attend any of the breakout sessions and panels; however, if the choices seem overwhelming, they may find the following sessions and panels of particular interest:
How to Make More Loans, Make More Money and Save Our Members Money in the Process – Panel: Dennis McCuiston of McCuistion & Associates will facilitate a panel of experts and share proven techniques to help grow loans.
Toolkit for Direct Loan Growth: Brian Cahak, CEO of Members Private Sale, will provide participants with the toolkit necessary to maintain direct loan growth in the long run.
Growing Non-Interest Income While Helping Your Members: Ben Rogers of the Filene Institute will explain how credit unions are growing non-interest income in ways that are transparent, freely chosen, and for services that add value to members.
The Future of Account Opening & Lending: Ted Brown, business development manager at Andera, will discuss how cloud-based technology will facilitate the opening and lending process to provide better service to members at a lower cost.
Demystifying the Real Estate Loan Application Process: Pierre Cardenas, a senior consultant with CU Lending Advice, LLC, will cover the best practice workflow in delivering a great member experience with your credit union’s real estate loan application program, and will place special emphasis on the compliance disclosure requirements and pre-approval process.
