The CUNA Mutual Group is hosting a special one-day symposium on the topic of how credit unions can achieve a true member centric approach. This symposium, titled “Battle for the American Consumer: A Symposium on Member Centricity”, will be held at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel in Tampa, Florida on Sept. 24.
This forum is being offered complimentary. The event offers a powerful lineup of speakers, including Don Peppers of the Peppers and Rogers Group. Peppers is one of the leading experts worldwide on customer centric strategies and has co-authored some of the key books on the subject, including the groundbreaking Managing Customer Relationships and his most recent title, Extreme Trust: Honesty as a Competitive Advantage. The Times of London named Pepper as one of their “Top 50 Business Brains”, and Accenture has included him in the their list of the “Top 50 Business Intellectuals”.
Michelle Eten, vice president of Digital Marketing at REI, will talk about how REI has built a hugely successful customer centric retail model while remaining true to its cooperative roots. REI is the largest consumer retail cooperative in the world, with more than 40 million members.
The day will conclude with a workshop on how credit unions can take practical steps towards becoming truly member centric.
