In the credit union world, we're usually pretty lucky to have highly skilled, talented leadership in place to help keep our gears running. But what happens when your CEO suddenly announces he's resigning - unbeknownst to anyone else?
In the credit union world, we’re usually pretty lucky to have highly skilled, talented leadership in place to help keep our gears running. But what happens when your CEO suddenly announces he’s resigning – unbeknownst to anyone else?
During the 2013 Texas Credit Union League’s (TCUL) Volunteers’ Forum in San Antonio, Susan Looney and Chris Thomas will present their breakout session, “Your CEO is Leaving ... Now What Do You Do?”
It’s important to have a game plan established well in advance so that you aren’t left scrambling to replace him or her with a new, sub-par leader for your credit union. Looney and Thomas will teach session participants how to build a profile of a new CEO, how to handle internal candidates, how to facilitate the interview process and ways to come to a final decision.
The 2013 Volunteers’ Forum takes place June 19-21 in San Antonio. For more information or to register, please visit https://www.tcul.coop/Volunteers_Forum.html.
