What is DE?

The National Credit Union Foundation's (NCUF) Development Education (DE) program helps established and emerging leaders within the credit union movement understand and leverage credit unions’ unique business model to serve members and communities in new and better ways.

NCUF offers in-person and virtual options throughout the year. Visit their website for more information about this program.

CSCUDE Society Membership

Membership into the DE Society is open to anyone who has successfully earned the Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) designation.

Membership is voluntary and as such, there is no membership fee.

The annual membership meeting will be held in the fourth quarter.

Member Information

CSCUDE Society members can access bylaws, on-demand webinars, and a roster.

DE Projects from the Community

After graduating from the DE Program, CUDEs are charged with completing a project in their credit union or community that improves people's well-being by using the skills and knowledge they gained. We encourage you to share your story so that your fellow DEs can support your future efforts and learn from your experiences.

Prior to my graduation from the DE Program I had imagined providing a resource for the El Paso community that would prevent families from wondering how they would be able to put food on their tables. From making the choice between shelter or hunger especially for youth who require a certain amount of nutrition to grow and learn properly.

After completing the DE program, I realized that the program was a perfect example of transformational learning in the adult learner. I wrote an academic paper about it and it was published with several other essays in a book called, "Essays on Transformational Learning."
