The potential for active threats in the workplace is a reality in today’s society. Captain Jason Ruegge with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office will provide us with information and guidance on how to best prepare for these situations.
Captain Ruegge has been an Oklahoma Peace Officer since 1991. He oversees the training division of the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department, providing instruction to all incoming Oklahoma County Deputies. He is also the Senior Team Lead for the Multi-Jurisdictional Tactical Unit, where he is in charge of mission planning, operation execution, critical use of force decisions, debriefs, and training supervision.
Captain Ruegge is a US National Two Man Sniper Team Co-Champion, two-time recipient of the Medal of Valor, three-time recipient of the Sheriff’s Commendation Award, recipient of the Meritorious Service Award, and the Sheriff’s Award of Excellence.
