The Cornerstone Credit Union League provides workshops for small credit unions every year. The featured topics for 2019 include Cybersecurity Compliance Updates and Hot Topics.

Who Should Attend?

The workshops are open to all small credit union staff, directors, and volunteers. Credit unions affiliated with the Cornerstone Credit Union League are welcome and encouraged to attend any of the workshops.

About Idrees Rafiq
Idrees RafiqIdrees Rafiq, Jr. is IT consulting vice president with Financial and Technology Resources, Credit Union Resources. He specializes in leveraging IT and security-related issues with compliance, marketing, vendor management, business continuity, and other business operations specific to credit unions ranging from $2 million to more than $2.5 billion in assets. He's a faculty member at Southwest CUNA Management School and serves on the executive leadership board of the National Credit Union Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (NCU-ISAO). He earned his MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University and a BAAS and a Bachelor of Business Management from Howard Payne University. Rafiq was named 2017 Rock Star by CU Magazine and awarded Cornerstone’s 2017 Manager of the Year.

Pamela BlevinsPamela Blevins is the remote financial services manager for Credit Union Resources, providing audit and consulting services, including external audit, call report, bank reconciliation assistance, and loan and specialty reviews in credit unions ranging in assets from $1 million to over $400 million. Blevins helps credit unions meet their annual supervisory committee/boards of directors audits, ACH audit requirements, and compliance, especially in Bank Secrecy (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), and Customer Identification Program (CIP). Blevins' professional background includes five years in credit union auditing.

This session will cover changes that can impact your credit union and provide you with resources to help you thrive.

Lorri Gaither
Lorri Gaither, SCMS, CUCE, CUDE, is operations and engagement vice president, Small Credit Union Development, for Cornerstone Credit Union League. Her department provides resources to credit unions under $50 million in assets to help them thrive, grow, and succeed in serving their members. Gaither serves as a liaison to the Cornerstone Small Credit Union Committee and the Cornerstone Lending Council. Gaither has earned CUNA’s Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) designation, and she received the Heusman Award, one of Cornerstone’s highest honors, for dedication and service to credit unions. Prior to Cornerstone, Gaither served for 20 years in the financial services industry.

Educational Investment

The Small CU Workshop is **FREE to member credit unions under $50M in assets for up to two attendees from each credit union and only $50.00 for each additional attendee. Lunch will be provided for all attendees.

Please be advised that photographs may be taken at the event for use in Cornerstone Credit Union League marketing materials. By registering for and attending any event, you agree that your image may be used at any time, without further notification, for printed materials, web sites, social media and other marketing purposes.

Registrant Cancellation Policy

Although there is no charge for up to two attendees, if you register to attend and do not cancel 24 hours prior to the workshop, the credit union will be charged a $50 fee for each no-show to help cover lunch and handouts. Substitutions will be accepted for all workshops. All cancellations must be received in writing to

The Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation is accepting grant applications for League training events based on financial need. Applications must be received by application deadlines.
