Time: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. CST
While there have always been “privacy laws,” the first global law affecting credit unions was the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Now we have the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and possibly the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). So, let’s take some time to review and explore:
- Privacy concepts;
- The GLB past and today;
- Reminders on the GDPR and comparisons to CCPA; and
- The CCPA in-depth, including scope and who it applies to, assessment rules and requirements, liability and de-risking, and the proposed California AG rules.
