Surf's Up! Riding the FedNow Wave to Faster Payments
FedNow is here! Since going live in July 2023, a steady increase of early adopters has joined the new payment rail. With over 500 financial institutions already using FedNow, we are quickly entering the early majority phase. This session will review the fundamentals of FedNow and focus on implementation steps, accounting/operational impact, use cases, and fraud protection.

Presenter: Mark Keeling, Senior Manager, Payments Strategy and Product Innovation
As Senior Manager of Catalyst’s Payments Strategy and Product Innovation, Mark Keeling plays an integral role in the development and implementation of Catalyst’s faster payments offerings, including the FedNow® Service, the RTP® Network, and P2P payments. Mark is a 35-year veteran of correspondent banking, and formerly served as Chief Operating Officer of The Bankers Bank. In addition to faster payments, he has deep payments expertise across a broad range of domestic and international payment rails, including checking, ACH, wires, cash, and cards.
