The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau recently issued a significant debt collection rule governing the activities of debt collectors under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. This law provides important guidance on debt collection best practices for credit union collectors. This live training session will address best practices for credit union collectors in critical areas such as call frequency limitations, voice mail messages, limited content messages, and other restrictions on communicating with debtors as well as new best practice recommendations for the use of electronic communications such as emails and text messages in debt collections. You will learn new guidelines and best practices that will enhance debt collection compliance in your collection department.

Presidents/CEOs/managers, loan officers, credit committee members/volunteers, collection officers, compliance officers, and any other credit union staff responsible for minimizing the credit union’s exposure to bankruptcy losses, collections, or lenders in general would benefit from these webinars.

Registrant Cancellation Policy

Refunds will be granted less a $50 processing fee for cancellations received on or before two weeks prior to the start of the webinar. No refunds will be granted within two weeks of the webinar start date. Substitutions are always welcome.

Series Cancellation Policy

Cornerstone reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the series due to unforeseen circumstances. If the series is rescheduled and you are unable to participate, your fees will be refunded.
