The Festival of Trees is an amazing event that began in Oklahoma City. After almost 10 years, the Foundation asked the Cornerstone Credit Union Chapters to adopt the Festival of Trees as their signature event celebrated throughout the Cornerstone region to benefit YOUR Foundation.
The inaugural event has been a huge success thanks to the cooperative spirit of our chapters and the creativity of their leadership. Our chapters joined together around the region to celebrate the holidays, have good food and drinks, and raise money for their very own Foundation. Following is a recap of chapters and their activities across our three states.
Together you raised more than $23,000. Just imagine what all of our credit union chapters will do in 2020.
A very special thank you to CUNA Mutual for giving the Foundation seed money to help reinvent the Festival of Trees, and a huge, heartfelt thank you to all of our participating chapters. The cooperative and holiday spirit is strong in the Cornerstone Region.
Your Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation staff and board of trustees wish you a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year.
As part of its Festival of Trees initiative, the Fort Worth Chapter sells Santa bags filled with a variety of items. Attendees drew a Christmas ornament labeled with a number, indicating which bag they had won.
