Free document shredding events in Dallas and Houston

Resource One Credit Union to hold FREE document shredding events for its communities.

On Saturday, Nov. 9, Resource One Credit Union will be hosting free document shredding events from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at locations in Dallas and Houston. Everyone is welcome to bring their personal documents to shred on-site at no cost.

Dallas locations
Document shredding events will be held at the following Resource One Credit Union locations in the Dallas area:

Irving:
2315 W. Airport Freeway., #161, Irving, TX 75062

North Garland:
2475 Arapaho Road, Garland, TX 75044

Mesquite:
2750 N. Galloway, Mesquite, TX 75150

Cedar Hill:
755 N. Hwy. 67, Cedar Hill, TX 75104

Houston locations
Document shredding events will be held at the following Resource One Credit Union locations in Houston:

Jones Rd:
9211 Jones Road, Houston, TX 77065
Oak Forest:
1400 W. 43rd St., Houston, TX 77018

The events are open to the public. There is a five-box limit per vehicle. Only paper documents will be allowed. Acceptable items to shred include:

Bank statements
Forms (medical, insurance, tax)
Receipts
Personal files
Old checkbooks and checks
Junk mail

The documents will be disposed of on-site by Shred-it. Shred-it holds a certification for document destruction from the National Association for Information Destruction. Shred days may be canceled or rescheduled due to severe weather.
