Greater Texas CU hires new senior vice president/chief lending officer

Greater Texas Credit Union in Austin, Texas hired Benjamin A. Teske as senior viceBenjamin Teske president/chief lending officer, effective July 22. 

Teske comes to Greater Texas from America’s First Federal Credit Union in Birmingham, Ala., where he served as the director of lending services. With 15 years of credit union experience, he was named a Credit Union Magazine Rock Star in 2018 for his professional and community leadership. He previously served in various roles during his career, including teller, call center representative, loan officer, and branch manager. Teske earned his undergraduate degree in finance and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

When asked about joining the Greater Texas team, Teske said, “Greater Texas is a strong brand within the communities that it serves. The credit union has a loyal member base, experienced staff, and their values align very well with my own. I look forward to working with the team to continue leveraging those strengths, and my experience, to help deliver on our mission to enhance the financial well-being of our members.”
