At this year's Young Professionals Conference, Aug. 15–16 in Austin, you’ll want to take full advantage of your conference EXPERIENCE! Join one of our power hour sessions for a quick-paced, informative sharing of best practices and bring real-life experiences and problem-solving skills to the table.
At Friday’s Closing General Session, “Leading Your Parents,” former sales executive
and millennial leader of multigenerational teams Raven Solomon will help ease anxiety about stepping up, earning the respect of team members, and delivering quick results by providing proven strategies of multigenerational leadership, as covered in her new book “Leading Your Parents: 25 Rules of Effective Multigenerational Leadership for Millennials & Gen Z.”
During this presentation, attendees will:
- Discover the three keys to multigenerational leadership and the top two rules that accompany those keys;
- Gain insight into other generations to increase empathy and cross-generational effectiveness; and
- Learn how to overcome the negative stereotypes of millennials & Generation Z and leverage them to your advantage, guiding team members your parents’ age, which can be an uncomfortable and intimidating task.

Pack for a purpose to help Austin homeless
For the YP Advisors’ corporate social responsibility efforts, they are partnering with Community First Village in Austin. The YP Advisors are collecting in-kind donations up to the Young Professional’s Conference and on-site at the conference.
Donate new items, including:
- Socks
- Underwear
- Toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, and mouthwash
- Razors
- Shaving cream
- Combs
- Shampoo
- Lotion
- Deodorant
- Lip balm
- Band-Aids and small first-aid kits
- Sunscreen
- Nail clippers
Even if you don’t have room to pack a few of these items, consider grabbing new toiletries from your hotel room or stopping by a store to pick up a couple of things.
