Cornerstone CU Foundation Awards 142 Grants Totaling $343,763

Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation recently awarded 142 grants totaling $343,763. Credit union grants consist of various requests that promote the success and advancement of credit unions in the Cornerstone region.

Grants distribution in this cycle are as follows:

$316,550 - Development Fund, 129 grants
$12,213 - Financial Capability Fund, 10 grants
$15,000 - Hispanic Outreach Fund, 3 grants

Development Fund grants assist with professional development of credit union staff and volunteers, planning sessions, audits, website updates, and new equipment and software, just to name some.

Financial capability grant requests are accepted year-round. Recent approved grants include support of reality fairs, Save to Win programs, and assistance with a credit union hosted Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. The Foundation is proud to partner with credit unions in their missions to empower and educate members.
