You’ll discover the primary differentiators for credit unions in the marketplace and how to put the foundational concepts to work in everyday operations to better meet the needs of your members.

Course objectives:

  • Understand the history and role of credit unions in the marketplace;
  • See how the value of cooperative philosophies apply in the day-to-day operations of your credit union;
  • Gain insight into the historical and current social impact of credit unions;
  • Understand why credit unions are different and how to leverage that for growth; and
  • Create a plan of action for your credit union.

Facilitator: Courtney MoranCourtney Moran
Courtney Moran, executive director of the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation, provides leadership and strategic direction for the Foundation’s goals, philosophy, and mission. Moran oversees the Foundation FOCUS program, which promotes financial education among credit unions, educators, and partner organizations. As part of FOCUS, she also conducts train-the-trainer sessions throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Moran has earned Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) and International CUDE designations. She became a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor and serves as a director on the National Credit Union Foundation board and as a member of the Advisory Council and Outreach committee for BizKid$.
