Chuck RutanCharles (Chuck) Rutan, president/CEO of Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union, retired effective July 1. Rutan has served in his current role since April 2008. During his tenure, he played a critical role in the overall growth of the credit union while bringing on new technologies as well as products and services for members. Some of the highlights include the implementation of 4% Rewards Checking Account, mobile banking, online loan applications, remote deposit transactions, and CO-OP Shared Branching—all to help members conduct business across the country.

According to the senior leadership team, “We will miss Chuck as he was all about employee development and benefits and more importantly service to the membership. Chuck was instrumental in continuing to build on the positive and fun culture that is SWACU. We wish him the best in retirement.”
