Former employee Jerry Neal passes away at age 86

Jerry Lynn Neal passed away on June 18 at the age of 86. Jerry, a long-time supporter of the credit union movement, was dedicated to the philosophy of people helping people. He started his credit union career working for Quaker Oats Credit Union. Next, he was employed by the Texas Credit Union League, retiring in 1990 after 26 years of service. In 1992, he went to work for Freestone Credit Union in Teague, Texas, until his passing.

He will be cremated with a memorial service scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jerry’s honor to Payne Springs United Methodist Church, 9667 TX Hwy 198, Payne Springs, TX 75156, or by calling 903-451-2978.
