Posted: May 22, 2019 | Author:

SB 557 by Sen. Lois Kolkhorst (R-Brenham) and Rep. Joe Moody (D-El Paso) updates the Texas State Comptroller's office electronic transfer system to include the Texas Emergency Services Retirement System. With this update, all state entities are now in the comptroller’s system, which is allowed to make deposits into any financial institution including credit unions.

The bill passed the House and Senate on unanimous votes and was sent to the governor.
