On May 8, the credit union named McKenzie Flowers, Haylee Francks, and Hayden Flowers as recipients of their $1,000 scholarships.

TCCU’s Scholarship Program offers a helping hand to academically motivated student members, whether they plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or a vocational/technical school.

The TCCU Scholarship Program was established in 2003 and the program has granted a total of 47 scholarships to graduating seniors and returning students since its inception.

All applicants answered, in an essay, this question: "Technology has drastically changed banking over the past few years. What changes would you predict for the banking industry over the next few years? What future do you see for paper currency, coins and paper checks?"

"Through our scholarship program, we are not just helping our student members meet financial challenges, we are investing in the future of our communities and our credit union," said TCCU CEO Lily Newfarmer. "Because, ultimately, we are all people helping people, and if we can help our young people help themselves, all the better."

Tarrant County’s Credit Union congratulates the winners and wishes them success on their respective scholastic journeys.
