Resource One Credit Union will hold free document shredding events for the Dallas and Houston communities on Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to bring their personal documents to shred on-site at these locations:
In the Dallas area:
2501 E. Hebron Pkwy. #300, Carrollton, TX 75010
2475 Arapaho Rd., Garland, TX 75044
2750 N. Galloway, Mesquite, TX 75150
755 N. Hwy. 67, Cedar Hill, TX 75104
In the Houston area:
9211 Jones Rd., Houston, TX 77065
1400 W. 43rd St., Houston, TX 77018
The shred events are open to the public and have a maximum 10-box limit per vehicle. Only paper documents are allowed. Acceptable items to shred include:
- Bank statements
- Forms (medical, insurance, tax, other)
- Personal files
- Old checkbooks and checks
- Junk mail
The documents will be disposed of on-site by Shred-it, which holds a certification for document destruction from the National Association for Information Destruction.
