Trump re-nominates Rodney Hood to serve on NCUA board

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump nominated former NCUA board member Rodney Hood to fill the seat currently held by board member Rick Metsger. Hood was nominated in the last Congress but not confirmed and previously served as vice chair of the NCUA board under President George W. Bush.

Hood was appointed vice chairman of NCUA in 2005 by Bush and served on the board from October 2005 to August 2010. His nomination is for a term ending in August 2023 and would still leave one vacant seat on the board, as former board Chair Debbie Matz’s seat has not been filled.

Hood currently serves as corporate responsibility manager at JPMorgan Chase, where he manages national partnerships with organizations that foster sustainable homeownership; provide financial capability and economic inclusion; and provide access to capital in underserved communities — including low-to-moderate income, minority, and disabled.
