Join a Sister Society and make a big impact locally

Posted: Jan 10, 2019 | Author:

The Cornerstone Credit Union League will implement Sister Societies throughout the Cornerstone region in 2019. Sister Societies are Global Women chapters (a World Council of Credit Unions Program) established around the world to further the network’s global mission by making a local impact. The purpose is to convene credit union leaders (open to men and women), discuss credit union issues, exchange ideas, and network with neighboring credit union professionals.

The Sister Societies are organized by Cornerstone's International Relationship Committee, chaired by First Class American Credit Union CEO Nancy Croix-Stroud.

According to Croix-Stroud, “The Sister Societies are a wonderful way in which to become more engaged in the credit unions system, interact with your peers, and make a sustainable difference in the global communities in which we serve.”

To learn more about the Sister Societies and how to join one, a lunch will be held Thursday, April 25, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Austin during Cornerstone's 2019 Annual Meeting.

There is no fee to attend, but you must register in advance. The lunch will be limited to the first 75 registrants.
