The Fort Worth Chapter of Credit Unions held its Eighth Annual Chili Cook-off on Oct. 17 where attendees sampled chili, connected with peers, and helped raise funds for the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s Texas PAC and the Credit Union National Association’s federal PAC (CULAC). The chili was judged on its taste, texture, and flavor.
Participants brought dollar bills to vote for their favorite chili, with the number of cash votes deciding the People’s Choice Winners:
- First place: Christy Fields with Tarrant County’s Credit Union, was awarded a $50 gift card;
- Second place: Annette Cano with Unity One Credit Union, was awarded a $25 gift card; and
- Third place: Josh Morgan with Unity One Credit Union, was awarded a $25 gift card.
The 14 chili chefs raised $606.
