Make plans now to attend the North Texas Sister Society meeting on Oct. 21 in Dallas. At the meeting, Amy Downs, president/CEO, Allegiance CU, will discuss, “This is Your Time.”
Downs, who was buried under 10 feet of rubble in the aftermath of the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing, was also struggling with obesity and apathy. When granted a second chance at life, she vowed to live life to the fullest. She recovered from her bombing wounds, learned to walk again, dropped 200 pounds, went back to school, attained bachelor's and master's degrees, and now serves as the CEO of the same organization that she was once buried under.
During the meeting, you’ll hear how to overcome the battle against slipping back into your old habits and how a little motivation will keep you fighting to become the best version of yourself.

Sister Societies are Global Women’s Leadership Network chapters (a World Council of Credit Unions Program) established around the world to further the network’s global mission by making a local impact. The purpose is to convene credit union leaders (open to men and women), discuss credit union issues, exchange ideas, and network with neighboring credit union professionals.
Cash donations will be accepted for two complimentary memberships to the Global Women’s Leadership Network.
