InTouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival celebrates 40 years

by Cornerstone Credit Union League | Sep 18, 2019

Three-day event brings interactive credit union experience, vendors, and entertainment.

Keep your eyes on the sky this weekend and see more than 40 colorful hot air balloons take flight in the InTouch Credit Union (ITCU) Plano Balloon Festival, an annual event that has been delighting families for the past 40 years.

The celebration of dazzling aerial displays, high-energy musical entertainment, local delicacies from community vendors, and much more will open its gates at Oak Point Park in Plano, Texas, at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20.

The ITCU team will be on-site near the entrance, hosting an interactive credit union experience throughout the weekend. Members and guests are invited to stop by, learn more about the credit union, and participate in family-friendly activities, including a Putt-Putt prize challenge, a photo booth, and a "prize tornado," where cash and coupons whirl around participants' heads.

"With a theme of 'Celebrating 40 Years of Ballooning,' we want to bring a fun and interactive experience to this year's festival for both long-term members and first-time guests alike," says ITCU Executive Vice President Diane Gerstner. "All of us at ITCU are proud to once again partner with the Festival and city of Plano for this wonderful opportunity, and we are eagerly looking forward to this 40th anniversary event."

Tickets are available at the gates to the festival or at your local ITCU branch. Eventgoers are encouraged to look at their ticket backs for information about special In Touch offers that can be redeemed during the month of September.
