Allegiance CU's Amy Downs Wins Exceptional Leadership Award; Talks People Helping People During OKC Bombing
Tuesday, October 17, 2017 6:50 AM

Allegiance Credit Union Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Amy Downs stopped by the Studio Lounge to share her thoughts on winning CUES 2017 Exceptional Leader Award. She also discussed what it takes to be an exceptional leader in today's fast-paced financial services arena. Not an easy task, but Downs has some wise takeaways.

In addition, Downs stepped back in time to 1995 and recalled her harrowing moments of the Oklahoma City bombing at The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building where Federal Employees Credit Union had a branch. Downs was working in the branch that day and remembers seeing the van that carried the bombs. Shortly afterward, the explosion occurred and Downs was buried alive for more than six hours.

Check out the interview.
