Cornerstone YPs are headed to Washington D.C. to participate in the 2022 Crash the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference, Feb. 27 – March 3. Crash the GAC is a non-stop, career-changing program for credit union young professionals that enables them to participate in the industry’s largest advocacy conference with complimentary registration, exclusive networking opportunities, leadership development tools, and mentoring sessions with industry leaders.

Meet this year’s GAC Crashers:

Laci Whitmire is an operations support specialist from Diamond Lakes FCU in Arkansas and has been with the credit union for more than five years. Look for Laci around GAC and on the YP social media channels as she brings behind-the-scenes content to all the YPs.

Cody Lon is a member relations supervisor with TTCU Federal Credit Union in Oklahoma. He has been with TTCU FCU since 2014 and is the current chairperson of TTCU’s young professionals. Cody has demonstrated passion and leadership during his time at TTCU FCU and is excited to be alongside the other crashers to give YPs an inside look at the conference

Kirby Wottrich is the assistant vice president of Retail Services with A+ Federal Credit Union in Texas. He has been with A+ FCU for more than seven years and is a great advocate for the credit union movement. Be on the lookout for Kirby to be rubbing elbows with legislative giants as he shares why the credit union movement is so important to communities all around America.

Crashers will leave the nation’s capital with renewed energy to help strengthen their communities and organizations. Crash the GAC and other Crash events throughout the year are designed to spark new ways of thinking and build lasting relationships for young professionals within the credit union industry.
