Kansas Sister Society Connects Credit Union Leaders at Summer Social

Nearly 40 credit union leaders came together in Wichita for an evening of connection, conversation, and peer networking hosted by the Kansas Sister Society.  

Professionals from Credit Union of America, Heartland Credit Union, MidAmerican CU, Meritrust CU, and Wichita FCU attended the summer social to strengthened local relationships and build momentum for women’s leadership in the credit union movement. 

Lea Ann Gabbert, chief administrative officer at Credit Union of America, welcomed the group and shared an overview of the Global Women’s Leadership Network. She highlighted how Sister Societies give credit union professionals a local way to connect, support one another, and contribute to a global movement focused on women’s leadership.  

To keep the energy moving, attendees played networking bingo designed to help participants branch out, meet new colleagues, and spark conversation. Origence sponsored the event and provided door prizes for the game.  

Another Sister Society event is being planned for the Wichita area in the fall.
