AMOCO Honors Gina Spagnola With Servant’s Heart Award

AMOCO Federal Credit Union recently recognized community leadership and volunteer service during its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, where the credit union presented its Servant’s Heart Award to Gina Spagnola, president/CEO of the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Spagnola was honored for her leadership, collaborative spirit, and ongoing advocacy for economic and community development across the region. In recognition of her impact, AMOCO presented a $10,000 donation in her name to Lemonade Day Galveston and will also make a contribution in her name to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

“This evening celebrates the volunteers who give so much to AMOCO’s mission,” said Shawn M. Bailey, president/CEO of AMOCO FCU. “Honoring Gina Spagnola alongside them is especially meaningful, as she truly embodies the spirit of servant leadership.”

Greater Texas|Aggieland Promotes Ken Gardner

Greater Texas|Aggieland Credit Union has promoted Ken Gardner to vice president of human resources.

In his new role, Gardner will provide executive leadership for the credit union’s enterprise-wide people strategy, with a focus on aligning workforce culture, leadership talent, and employee engagement with long-term business performance. Gardner began his credit union career in 2012 as an HR assistant with Greater Texas and advanced through a series of leadership roles in human resources.

“Throughout his tenure, Ken has steadily expanded his leadership responsibilities, business perspective, and impact across the organization,” said Howard Baker, president/CEO of Greater Texas|Aggieland CU.

Worth Credit Union Names Katie Turner-Carr Chief People Officer

Worth Credit Union has named Katie Turner-Carr senior vice president/chief people officer.

Turner-Carr joins the credit union with experience in people strategy, organizational effectiveness, culture transformation, and leadership development across several highly regulated industries. As part of the executive leadership team, she will lead Worth’s people and culture strategy to help support growth, talent development, and operational excellence.

“Katie brings a unique combination of strategic vision, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of how people and culture drive organizational success,” said Michael Massey, president/CEO of Worth CU.
