Endurance FCU Awards Scholarships to Oklahoma Seniors

Endurance Federal Credit Union recently awarded four $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors from Duncan, Comanche, and Elk City, Oklahoma, for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The scholarships included the 18th annual Devon Strickland Memorial Scholarship, the ninth annual Wynona “Nona” Driskell Scholarship, the fourth annual Kevin Bilbrey Memorial Scholarship, and the second annual Gary Lovett Scholarship.

Recipients were selected based on academics, extracurricular activities, and an essay.

Chris Bower, president/CEO of Endurance FCU, said the strength of this year’s applicants made the selection process especially difficult.

“All of the candidates were outstanding,” Bower said. “Our scholarship committee faced a challenging decision in selecting just four recipients. Each winner demonstrated strong financial literacy skills and an understanding of how their credit union can support their financial well-being as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.”

Each scholarship was presented during the students’ school scholarship ceremonies.

The program reflects the broader value credit unions bring to their communities. By investing in students as they prepare for college and career opportunities, credit unions can help expand access, recognize hard work, and support the next generation in tangible ways.
