ARCUA Helps ‘Serve Up Solutions’ in Little Rock

Last week, staff from the Arkansas Credit Union Association attended the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance’s annual “Serving Up Solutions” event in Little Rock. The evening brought together legislators, nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders who share a commitment to addressing food insecurity across Arkansas.

ARCUA Executive Director Cara Tharp said that for those of us in the credit union movement, events like this are a powerful reminder that financial well-being and food security are often closely connected.

“Supporting our communities goes beyond financial services; it means showing up, building partnerships, and helping address the challenges Arkansas families face every day,” she said.

“One of the most impactful parts of the event was seeing members of the Arkansas Legislative Hunger Caucus step into serving roles for the evening, which created a space for meaningful conversations and connections with organizations working directly in their communities,” said Tharp.
