Strategic Partnership Helps Communities Reach Higher
In the Cornerstone five-state region, communities continue to demonstrate innovation, diversity, and a forward-thinking spirit that reflects the members credit unions serve every day. That sense of possibility was on display as the world watched Artemis II launch, marking the first crewed journey around the moon in more than 50 years.
Closer to home, that same spirit is helping drive meaningful community impact through strategic partnerships. One example is the collaboration between Wellby Financial and Space Center Houston, where shared purpose is creating new opportunities for families and students.
As Space Center Houston’s official credit union partner, Wellby serves as the presenting sponsor of Galaxy Lights and Moon 2 Mars, two of the center’s most anticipated events. These immersive experiences give attendees hands-on access to STEM learning, helping spark curiosity and expose young people to future career possibilities.
“For decades, we’ve helped NASA families and our community build education, confidence and opportunity,” said Marty Pell, president and CEO of Wellby Financial. “Partnering with Space Center Houston allows us to continue that mission, supporting the people who inspire us and empowering the next generation to reach higher.”
The Moon 2 Mars Festival celebrates NASA’s Artemis program, an effort to return humans to the moon and establish a long-term presence there. By aligning with this initiative, Wellby is doing more than sponsoring an event. It is investing in the next generation of explorers, innovators, and problem-solvers.
The partnership illustrates how collaboration can go beyond brand visibility to create lasting community value. When organizations come together around a shared mission, they can expand opportunity, inspire future leaders, and help communities aim higher than ever before.
