Credit Union Advocates Show Up for Oklahoma Day at the Capitol

Wed April 08, 2026

More than 80 credit union advocates gathered in Oklahoma City for this year’s two-day Oklahoma Day at the Capitol, where attendees heard legislative updates from Thomas Lewis, Oklahoma Credit Union Association executive director, along with regulatory and political insights from Cornerstone speakers.

The event reinforced Oklahoma's 2026 Legislative priorities: advancing state charter modernization, fraud prevention, and lienholder protection legislation, while defending against harmful government mandates and credit card bills.

Cornerstone League President/CEO Caroline Willard noted, “our members’ engagement is the key to effective credit union advocacy.” To get involved, visit Cornerstone’s events page for upcoming opportunities.
