Credit Union House Hall of Leaders Inducts 18 Credit Union Champions

Eighteen credit union champions were inducted into the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders in honor of their contributions to the credit union movement. The ceremony, which honored Red River Credit Union Board Chair Fred Milton, was held on March 3 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C.

The Hall of Leaders Award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions at the local, state, or national level through service, collaboration, and advocacy that strengthens the not-for-profit, cooperative model.

“Hall of Leaders inductees embody the very best of the credit union movement, raising the bar for member service, advancing collaboration across the credit union community, and advocating to safeguard the not-for-profit, cooperative financial services model,” said Troy Stang, Credit Union House chair and president and CEO of the GoWest Credit Union Association.

Cornerstone League President/CEO Caroline Willard, who attended the ceremony alongside Milton and his wife, said, “Fred Milton is so deserving of this honor,” she said. “Not only is he a passionate, dedicated credit union advocate, but also a wonderful human being at his core, and an example of true servant-leadership.”
