Credit Union Service Centers Opens Donor Advised Fund with Cornerstone Foundation

Thu December 18, 2025

The Cornerstone Foundation is pleased to welcome Credit Union Service Centers (CUSC) as our newest Donor Advised Fund (DAF) partner, and congratulate them on their new fund, CUSC Gives Back.

A Cornerstone Foundation Donor Advised Fund offers many of the advantages of a private/public credit union foundation without the initial set-up costs, ongoing excise taxes, and administrative expenses. By partnering with the Cornerstone Foundation, a credit union avoids the continual compliance and reporting requirements, as well as the need for a separate accounting system to track the nonprofit’s financials.

By establishing a Donor Advised Fund, Credit Union Service Centers is streamlining its charitable giving and expanding its long-term impact across the communities it serves.

“Partnering with the Cornerstone Foundation gives us the best of both worlds—trusted oversight and the ability to focus on what truly matters: serving our communities,” said Misty Babb-Hayes, CEO of Credit Union Service Centers. “Their streamlined approach ensures compliance and transparency, while allowing us to direct resources toward education, veterans, and those most in need. Together, we’re making every dollar count for meaningful change.”

Through this partnership, Credit Union Service Centers will continue supporting community initiatives that reflect its commitment to financial well-being and cooperative values.
