Texas Legislative Summary Now Available
The 2025 Texas Legislative Summary is now available. The report provides an overview of actions taken by the 89th Legislature on financial services and other issues that may affect credit unions and their members.
Of the 11,503 bills filed, the Texas Credit Union Association’s lobby team tracked more than 1,000 and identified nearly 200 as high priority. In total, Gov. Greg Abbott signed 1,115 bills into law and vetoed 28.
Most new legislation takes effect Sept. 1. Credit unions are encouraged to review the summary to understand how these changes may affect their operations. Member log-in required, read more today.
