The Cornerstone League recognizes member credit unions for their growth and community endeavors, exemplifying the “people helping people” philosophy.

TDECU Promotes Teamwork On and Off the Field

Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (TDECU) has joined forces with HTX Soccer as the official banking partner through the 2027 season, with its name featured on 16,000 game-day jerseys and support of the club’s recreational programs.

“At TDECU, we believe financial empowerment means building life skills,” said Chief Growth Officer Josh Brian. “Through teamwork, discipline, and dedication, these young athletes are building skills that will serve them for a lifetime.”

With Houston preparing to host the World Cup, the partnership aims to expand access to the sport while deepening community ties. “TDECU genuinely understands the powerful role youth sports play in building strong communities,” said Simon Boddison, HTX Director of Soccer Operations.

AMOCO FCU Lends a Hand with Habitat for Humanity

AMOCO Federal Credit Union employees recently participated in a Bay Area Habitat for Humanity build day, assembling door and window frames while contributing $25,000 to co-sponsor a new home in Galveston County.

“Seeing how the building process works and getting our hands dirty was a unique and powerful experience,” said Kenya Dunbar from the branch operations team. “It’s not just about building houses; it’s about setting families up for long-term success.”

The project also resonated with AMOCO’s mortgage staff. “In many ways, our mortgage team operates the same way,” said mortgage loan underwriter Ronda Hughes. “We strive to make the home financing process efficient by helping potential borrowers select the best home loan option and ensuring they have a strong pathway to homeownership.”

The team looks forward to future build days at this construction site and is committed to continuing its support for the local Bay Area Habitat for Humanity.

Raiz FCU Invite You to Celebrate Culture and Community at Raiz Cup

Raiz Federal Credit Union is inviting its community to Southwest University Park for the inaugural Raiz Cup on July 5, where FC Juárez will face off against Santos Laguna in a friendly match celebrating cross-border unity.

As the official credit union of the Bravos, Raiz will host a special halftime presentation where they’ll unveil a new way for match goers to support their team and community. “Juárez is our sister city, and that connection has shaped the unique, vibrant culture that we share,” said Raiz President & CEO Max Villaronga. “The Raiz Cup is bringing fans together from both sides of the border in celebration of that bond.”

Attendees can look forward to giveaways, games, and team merchandise at the Raiz booth. Tickets and more information about the match can be found at southwestuniversitypark.com
