Stephanie O’Neal Named AVP of Collections at Greater Texas Credit Union
Greater Texas Credit Union has announced the appointment of Stephanie O’Neal as assistant vice president of collections. A financial services veteran with more than 30 years of experience, O’Neal brings a strong background in loss mitigation,
asset recovery, and risk management to her new role.
In this position, O’Neal will oversee the credit union’s collections operations, focusing on regulatory compliance, process improvement, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance efficiency. She previously served as vice president of
collections for servicing solutions and has held executive positions at Mechanics Bank, Wells Fargo Dealer Services, and HSBC Bank.
“Stephanie O’Neal is a valuable addition to our team at Greater Texas,” said Lisa Back, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Greater Texas Credit Union. “Her extensive experience in the industry and in working in cross-functional management roles fits perfectly with us as we continue to refine and improve our processes across the credit union.”
Since relocating to Austin in late 2024, O’Neal has quickly made an impact, building out her department, creating operational efficiencies, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. She has also joined the credit union’s Greater Good volunteer efforts and encouraged her team to get involved. Previously, she supported the National Multiple Sclerosis Society by participating in fundraising walks and community events
