Credit Union Women’s Leadership Alliance is a network of female CEOs who support one another and address the unique challenges small credit unions face. Tanya Dittberner, the Cornerstone League Podcast host, recently interviewed three of its founders: Lily Newfarmer of Tarrant County’s Credit Union, Tammy Passafiume of Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union, and Maria Martinez of Border Federal Credit Union.
The group discussed CUWLA’s history, purpose, and mission and shared some of its members’ success stories.
“As women, we don't let anything stop us,” said Martinez. “You have to make yourself be seen at the table, be heard at the table. And I always tell people it's not just about having a seat at the table; if there are no seats available, you bring your own seat.”
Settle in and be inspired by these women’s dedication as they work tirelessly to cultivate a safe space for CUWLA members to support one another.
