Each year, a select group of Cornerstone Young Professionals earn the opportunity to Crash the Governmental Affairs Conference, where they engage with industry leaders, connect with policymakers, and gain hands-on advocacy experience.
Crash the GAC equips young professionals with the tools and knowledge to champion credit unions on a national level. These future leaders will network with key stakeholders, participate in Hill Hikes, and explore the legislative issues impacting credit unions and their members.
Annaly Columbia
Anna Columbia is from Truity Credit Union – A longtime believer in the "people helping people" philosophy, Columbia is eager to engage in legislative discussions and explore how advocacy drives credit union success.
Lluvia Diaz
Lluvia Diaz is from Texas Trust Credit Union – A former part-time teller turned financial analyst, Diaz is eager to learn more about industry-wide advocacy and build connections with other credit union professionals.
Alyxandra Larson
Alyxandra Larson is from Azura Credit Union – Inspired by past Crashers, Larson is ready to lead by example and experience firsthand how collaboration and advocacy fuel the movement’s
future.
Tyler Moore
Tyler Moore is from People Trust Community FCU – Aiming to gain deeper insights into governmental affairs, Moore is excited to learn from industry leaders and represent his credit union’s target market at the conference.
Josh Nicolet
Josh Nicolet is from Texans Credit Union – Passionate about professional development, Nicolet looks forward to understanding how legislative decisions shape the credit union movement and expanding his
industry network.
Through their participation in GAC, these young professionals will strengthen their leadership skills, gain advocacy experience, and bring new ideas back to their credit unions.
