Interchange Hearing Set for Nov. 19
Read time: 39 secs
As anticipated, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is using his power to force a hearing on the Credit Card Competition Act (S. 1838, otherwise known as the “Big Box Bailout Bill”) during the lame duck session of this Congress. Cornerstone joins our system partners in vehemently opposing this misguided legislation once again.
Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The hearing, "Breaking the Visa-Mastercard Duopoly: Bringing Competition and Lower Fees to the Credit Card System," is set for 10 a.m. ET. Save this link for a live video of the hearing.

Take action today to ensure your Senate Judiciary Committee members understand how this legislation harms the nation’s credit unions. Through the Grassroots Center, you can easily send your letter opposing the Credit Card Competition Act and any efforts to change the interchange system.
