By this time next week, we should know who the next president of the United States will be, along with the winners of many key elections throughout the Cornerstone region. As a non-partisan organization, Cornerstone League—and the greater credit union system—has been working hard to communicate the credit union difference to credit union-friendly lawmakers throughout the region.
We’ve also been watching the 2024 election with great interest because no matter what the results, there will be a change in administration accompanied by changes in policies and priorities. Although the effects won’t be felt immediately, we’ve been preparing for new connections, new dynamics, and new conversations—all in the name of supporting credit unions.
Despite the changes this election cycle will bring, Cornerstone remains constant in its commitment to helping credit unions succeed. Our team of seasoned advocacy and regulatory compliance professionals has seen its share of changes in the legislative landscape and remains nimble in navigating the spectrum of election outcomes.
If you are curious about what those changes will mean for the credit union industry, please join America’s Credit Unions in a post-election webinar on Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. CT to explore how credit union system partners can work to advance our advocacy goals.
