The Cornerstone League Young Professionals group is tasked with attracting, engaging, and empowering young talent in the Cornerstone region while positively impacting our communities. The Leaguer regularly features YP Spotlights to help you get to know these up-and-comers. This month, meet Linsi Schimmel, Marisol Castro, and Spencer Harman.
Schimmel is a senior teller at Frontier CCU in Leavenworth, Kan., with two years in the credit union industry. She enjoys getting to know the members and creating lasting relationships.
Schimmel is currently reading the "Throne of Glass" series and binge-watching "Criminal Minds." Her favorite dessert is lemon raspberry bundt cake.
Castro, a TM HR information systems analyst at FirstLight Federal Credit Union in El Paso, Texas, has been in the credit union industry for over seven years. She appreciates the welcoming environment and the collective goal-oriented atmosphere.
Castro’s favorite movie is "A Walk to Remember," and she would love to chat with Abraham Lincoln due to their shared birthday and his remarkable accomplishments. If she could have any superpower, it would be the ability to breathe underwater to explore sea life similar to scuba diving.
Spencer Harman works in IT at Frontier CCU in Leavenworth, Kan., and has been with the credit union for one year. His favorite thing about his credit union is his great coworkers. He is known as a "nerd at heart," which surprises most people at first.
Harman is currently reading "The Forgotten Realms" and binge-watching "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime." His favorite travel destination is Hawaii. He supports Veterans Affairs. If he could have any superpower, it would be regeneration to avoid getting hurt. His favorite dessert is homemade brownies from scratch, and he enjoys the "Critical Roll" podcast.
