On July 11, Buckstin Brewing Company in Beaumont, Texas, buzzed with energy as 40 Credit Union Young Professionals from six different
credit unions gathered for the Sabine Chapter CUYP Mixer. The event was more than just a social gathering; it was a powerful demonstration of community spirit and collaboration.
The highlight of the evening was the overwhelming collection of school supplies for the Southeast Texas Food Bank’s School Tools program. Attendees brought bags filled with essential items to support local students in need. The generosity of donations from these young professionals exceeded expectations.
Adding to the excitement, several lucky CUYPs walked away with gift cards as door prizes. Their enthusiasm and participation set a vibrant tone for the night.
The following morning, the collected school supplies were delivered to the Southeast Texas Food Bank, showcasing the CUYPs’ commitment to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.” The donations will significantly benefit
the School Tools program, ensuring that many students are well-equipped for the school year.
