The Oklahoma City Sister Society held a luncheon on July 16, featuring a panel called “Climbing the Corporate Ladder: Insights from Top-Level Leadership.” Four women leaders spoke to the attendees:
The panelists shared their inspiring journeys from entry-level positions to leadership roles. Each woman emphasized the importance of dedication, clear communication of ambitions, goal setting, networking, continuous learning, and effective self-promotion. They also addressed audience questions about imposter syndrome, being the only woman at the table, and advice they’d give their younger selves.
The panel offered additional insights: embrace constructive criticism, recognize that both successes and failures are fleeting moments, build a supportive network, and find empowerment through music and confident postures. Ultimately, they encouraged everyone to focus on experience over titles, as leadership can be cultivated wherever you are on your journey.
The Sister Society also held a school supply drive for Positive Tomorrows, a school for homeless youth in Oklahoma City.
