On March 13, Manhattan, Kan.-based Kstate Credit Union presented a check for $7,387.50 to Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters. These funds were raised during Kstate’s annual Skip-A-Pay Program, which allows credit union members to skip their November or December loan payment for a fee. A portion of the proceeds are donated to a local organization.
Kstate Credit Union President/CEO LaRae Kraemer said, “This donation truly comes from our members, and we are excited it is being donated to such an amazing organization in our community. Big Brothers Big Sisters provides one-to-one mentorship and resources to youth and truly changes lives of the kids and adults that are part of it.”
Michelle Sink, area director for Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters, said, “I am overwhelmed by the support of Kstate Credit Union and their members. Their donation will support six Littles on our waiting-list to match with their new Big Brother or Sister. Their continued partnership is testament to their commitment of investing in their local community.”
Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters help children realize their potential and build their futures through professionally supported matches. Together, we empower our youth and strengthen communities.
