Each year, Cornerstone honors individuals, credit unions, and chapters who have demonstrated support and commitment to the credit union movement. The following individuals and organizations will be recognized during the Awards Luncheon on April 4 at the
Kansas City Loews Hotel in Kansas City, Mo.
The Hall of Fame honors those in the credit union movement who reflect a lifetime of service to credit unions.
Gary D. Parker, retired president/CEO
1st University Credit Union, Waco, Texas
The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes accomplishments in time and effort in support and promotion of the credit union movement by credit union volunteers.
Deborah Conder, board chair
Wellby Financial, Houston, Texas
The Chapter of the Year award recognizes contributions by regional chapters and is based on chapter participation in three categories: Political and Regulatory Advocacy, Community Involvement/System Support, and Professional Development. Groups are determined by the number of credit unions in each chapter.
Group 1 – El Paso Chapter of Credit Unions
Group 2 – Central Texas Chapter of Credit Unions
Group 3 – St. Louis Chapter of Credit Unions
ImPACt Awards recognize individuals, credit unions, and chapters for their PAC contributions in two ways: actual dollars contributed to their state PAC and percent of goal achieved.

Oklahoma Credit Union PAC
Texas Cornerstone Credit Union League PAC
The 2023 Community Service Award winners will also be recognized. These awards include Desjardins Youth and Adult Financial Education Awards, Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award and Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Member Service Award.
