Young Professionals around the Cornerstone region are gathering to advance the mission of credit unions through a celebration of camaraderie, networking, and rising leadership.

 

Sabine Chapter hosts YP mixer

The Sabine Chapter Cornerstone Young Professionals hosted a successful mixer on Jan. 18 at Meridian Wine Bar in Port Neches, Texas. Twenty-four attendees representing six local credit unions had the opportunity to network and enjoy some gift card drawings.

TTCU YP annual kick-off and awards night

In January, the TTCU Federal Credit Union Young Professionals hosted their annual kick-off and awards night. The event, which took place at McNellie's in Tulsa, Okla., featured a vibrant atmosphere of networking, delicious food, and enjoyable moments.  

Twenty-seven TTCU YPs were present at the gathering. Awards were presented to individuals based on their active participation and event attendance throughout 2023. This celebration serves as acknowledgement of the contributions of highly engaged YPs and inspires others to become more involved.

Rookie of the Year recognized the YP that attended the most events. This year was a tie: 

  • Georgina Marshall, video teller 
  • Kyesha Mitchell, video teller  

To the Moon recognized the YP that stood out and was the most engaged in the TTCU YP softball team: 

  • Kamau Kibinge, branch teller 

Networker of the Year recognized the YP that made the most significant effort to network with new YPs at TTCU YP events: 

  • Jenna Vuillemont, IT business analyst II 

Best Supporting YP of the Year honored the most encouraging and supportive YP of the TTCU YP program:

  • Abbie Adams, knowledge management specialist  

OG of the YP honored the YP with the longest tenure who is still active in TTCU YP: 

  • Brooke Wilson, branch manager 

Department Lead of the Year honored the YP department lead who went above and beyond what was asked of them:

  • Kevin Coman, learning and development specialist I 

Up-and-Coming YP of the Year recognized a YP ready to step into a YP leadership role:

  • Benjamin Perocier, member relations specialist I
