Credit Unions Care Day is coming up fast, and our Cornerstone team plans to honor the day with volunteerism on Friday, June 9.* We’ll share photos on our social accounts using the hashtag #CUsCareDay next week.
It’s also the perfect time to become part of the Karen Hart Legacy Society. Launched after Cornerstone League EVP/CFO/CAO Karen Hart’s retirement in 2021, the society continues her legacy by helping sustain the good work of the Cornerstone Foundation for the benefit of our regional credit unions.
Hart dedicated four decades to serving credit unions in our region, starting as a check typist at 17 years old and retiring in 2021 as the chief financial officer, chief administrative officer, and executive vice president.
“I have always taken great pride in everything we do for credit unions,” Hart has said. “I believe in our principles, our philosophy, and the fact that we go above and beyond to serve a movement that gives back. There is no better job.”
Please email Angie Lutes, development director, with any questions or for more information regarding the Karen Hart Legacy Society.
