Texas GAC

The best way to build relationships with our legislators and teach them what credit unions are all about is through direct political engagement. That's exactly what the 2023 Texas Governmental Affairs Conference, March 21–22 in Austin, is designed to do. While the conference is next week, you still have time to register!

Here are FIVE reasons we need YOU at Texas GAC:

  1. New CU Commissioner Michael Riepen and NCUA Regional Director Keith Morton will sit on a regulatory panel to discuss CU concerns, pending matters, and trends.
  2. Featured speaker is Harvey Kronberg, publisher of Quorum Report, a nonpartisan publication covering state politics and government from an insider's perspective.
  3. In the State Legislature, we have 27 new representatives and 4 new senators.
  4. Face-to-face meetings with Texas elected officials at the Capitol.
  5. Open House at Texas Credit Union Association, across the street from the Capitol.

To set up appointments with your representatives and senators, please use the following helpful links to access their contact information:

If you have any questions or need assistance making appointments, please email Charlotte Spencer.
